Travel Kisses

At last somebody made the travel lip palette of my dreams!

Lipstick is probably my most favourite of all makeup products and for good reason. For as long as I can remember, it is hands down the easiest and most cost effective way to have fun and experiment with different beauty looks.

When I was growing up my mother never wore much makeup, to be fair she didn’t need to, she was one of those women that radiated natural inner beauty. But, there’s one product that I distinctly remember, and that was her signature 80’s fuchsia pink lipstick. Of course her lip colour choices changed throughout the years, but I will never ever forget that bold pink lipstick she wore.

I love the way a bright red lipstick instantly makes me feel. Strong, confident, and a little bit sassy. So when Karen Murrell introduced their brand new lip palette that not only included one of my personal favourite reds (True Love), but four other versatile colours, I knew this was the answer to all my travel makeup kit prayers.

When I’m travelling I try my hardest to pack light (emphasis on TRY) and packing a bunch of different lipstick shades can take up so much room in my make-up bag.

Every single colour in this lip palette is seriously gorgeous, and so flattering on my olive skin tone. Having five shades in one beautifully packaged slim case is seriously a lifesaver for a gypsy girl like me. Did I mention it comes with an awesome double ended lip brush and built in mirror?!

These colours glide on like silk and keep my poor dry winter lips nourished thanks to ingredients like avocado and evening primrose oils. The fact that Karen Murrell products are cruelty free, contain zero nasties, and are designed in New Zealand, only adds to this brand’s appeal for me.

Thank you, thank you, thank you Karen Murrell for creating the most perfect travel friendly lipstick palette ever!

In closing, let me leave you with this perfectly sensible bit of advice from Audrey Hepburn – “On a bad day there’s always lipstick.” Too right Audrey 😉

To win this beautiful lip palette just leave a comment on this post and I’ll personally pick a winner by Monday the 12th of June 2017.

Only open to NZ residents, sorry 🙁

Hey Emma, gosh you’ve got your hands full and definitely deserve a nice treat. The Karen Murrell brand does make beautiful products. I often find with some of these other ethical beauty brands that the quality and wear of the makeup products is compromised but not with the KM stuff. It’s the perfect all rounder if you are looking for ethical make-up. Hope you’re having a great week x

Hi Jessie, gorgeous pic slideshow, you’re such a stunner. I adore Karen Murrell lipsticks and am so excited that they have bought this palette out…would love to try it. Have two little ones so packing ‘light’ doesn’t come easy to us but this would help a lot with keeping the make up bag green & compact (and help Mama look put together en route to boot!) x

Hey Renee, thank you for your lovely words. This lip palette is a total lifesaver if you’re wanting to pack your make up bag light. Anything that has a multipurpose use is great too. You can actually use the two pink lip shades blended on your cheeks as a blush too x

Hi Melissa, I could not agree more 🙂 I often use lippy as a little mood boosting trick. Nothing like a bold red or playful bright pink to perk me right up x
